The St. Francis Parish School recognized a need for another westside Catholic elementary school and liked what they saw in Robert Gray Partners, Inc. Cathedral School project. This is the first new school built by the diocese in the Portland area in 40 years.

Green Building Principles
The site requires clearing many trees to make space for the building's footprint. Employing green building principles, Robert Gray Partners searches for milling services nearby and finds Cedar Creek Custom Sawing practically right down the street. The trees were cleared and brought to the mill. The were processed and returned to the site, providing 2800 board feet of lumber for the structure of the building. Using what is onsite and reducing delivery distances are both green and economical!
